Information stored on your device
Water tests, maintenance entries, pool jobs, expenses, notes, target ranges, reminders, pool settings, unit preferences, and budget settings are stored locally on your device. AquaLog does not send this pool history to the developer.
On-device processing
Test strip photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded by AquaLog. The optional weekly report uses Apple on-device models when supported and available. AquaLog does not send the report or the pool history used to create it to the developer.
Optional weather
Weather is off until you enable it. If you use your current location, AquaLog sends latitude and longitude rounded to three decimal places to Open-Meteo to request a forecast. If you choose a city, AquaLog sends the city search text to Open-Meteo's geocoding service and then sends the selected coordinates for the forecast.
Open-Meteo may receive your IP address and request URL. Its server logs may include geographic coordinates and may be retained for up to 90 days. Read the Open-Meteo terms and privacy information. AquaLog uses weather for current conditions and local insights. It does not use weather data for advertising or tracking.
Exports and backups
When you choose Export CSV or Back Up Everything, AquaLog creates a file from your local records and opens the iOS share sheet. You decide where that file is sent or saved. Restore From Backup reads only the file you select. The storage or sharing destination you choose may have its own privacy policy.
Tracking, analytics, and advertising
AquaLog does not use advertising, analytics SDKs, tracking technologies, third-party accounts, or cross-app tracking. The developer does not sell your information.
Data deletion
You can delete individual records inside AquaLog. Removing the app from your device removes its locally stored app data, subject to the behavior of any device backup you control.
Children
AquaLog is a general pool-care utility and is not directed to children. It does not require an account or ask for a name, email address, or date of birth.
Changes to this policy
If AquaLog’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released.
